For the NYTimes.

Voting in Afghanistan getting out hand, confusion. Some wondering if their vote counts, some believing it sends the right message, some getting threatened with night letters.

Observations

It was pretty great when the NY Times called me for this sort of odd assignment. I was asked to not only draw but, stake out a water fountain in LA(where I'm from) for an hr or 2 to see how the fountain was, and who had visited the fountain within the that time period.. being around lunch time.

The outcome wasn't too surprising for me.

Also a piece on military suicides, post war.

Having a friend that went to Iraq it was pretty interesting to hear his take on his experiences dealing with life after war.
