beautiful jon. i love the "collage-y" , mixed media feel of your sketchbook. what are you after here? making beautiful images? preparation for more "substantial" work at a later time? just playing? it's beautiful stuff and it certainly stands up without explanation but, I love to ask and dig deeper.

Hi Jon, Great sketches and painting. ! What type of sketchbook do you use? What do you use to color with? I would love to do paintings like this but the book i have doesn't accept paint too well. Thanks for posting your beautiful work!

Hey Jon

I like the painting...your composition on this painting is very nice and the little round graphic circles for balance against the sharpness of the branches....

keep it up

thanks alot of the comments, shawn i use moleskin sketch books, i like them because so far they're the most durable, the pages are pretty thick so almost any medium can be used on it. i use acrylic, ink, coffee whatever is near by.

Awesome. Thanks Jon! I picked a moleskine book a month ago but still have another sketchbook to fill beforehand. I've heard great things about those books! Can't wait to try it.
