Fall, Finally coming near. I can feel the air getting cooler and crisper. It's nice...
The pieces are for the Fall preview for the New York Sun, which came out on stands this week. It was great working with Kris Porter on the Fall preview issue for the New York Sun. It consisted of a cover 11"x22", 4 illustrations, and 7 spots. Was alot of fun working on this one. It was really nice that Kris was really open to my ideas, and basically was free to do my thing on these.
Pretty soon we'll be able to ask the internet questions... No more cycling thru sites. It'll process the question like humans do, search thru the web, fact checking and give you the answer that you seek with one or couple simple answers. No, Not like askjeeves, Better... Really great working with the Communication of the ACM for this. Working with Andrij Borys and Alicia Kubista.
This ran in last weeks issue of the New Yorker. A different approach as i was asked to do a portrait of Philippe de Montebello as he is narrating the Saint-SaĆ«ns’s "Carnival of the Animals" at the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
A little background info, Philippe de Montebello has been the director of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York for 31 years.. So I found it surprising/honored to get contacted by the Met to buy a print so that they could present it to Mr. Montebello. I hope he enjoys it.
And another small letters piece for Kim at the NY Times.
